Start Ups’ Dreams of Delivering Future Hybrid Vehicles

Hybrid vehicles have finally managed to secure their grip on the car market and on the influence it has on the entire industry as well.



I think no one was really sure about the response the new hybrids would receive in the market place - and it turned out to be overwhelming. Many leading car manufacturers realized that they just had to follow the example set by Honda, Toyota and Fords and start making their own hybrid vehicles.

Wrightspeed



Wrightspeed is another start-up car making manufacturer located in Sillicon Valley in California. The factory earlier made computer parts and further used to be an amateur racer motor vehicle maker.



Now, Wrightspeed has taken the decision to take full gears in manufacturing motor cars, not just average and conventional vehicles, but hybrid cars.



The manufacturer has its own list of flagship future hybrid motor cars, which it is selling on a pre-ordered basis. Those future vehicles are estimated to last 200 miles prior to the subsequent recharging is required.



Tesla Motors



The manufacturer is based in Silicon Valley and is aggressively making waves to solicit orders for its future hybrid motor cars, high-performance sports and utility motor cars, to be delivered by spring of 2006.



The upcoming hybrid motor vehicle models of the designer will be first and foremost manufactured in the Uk but will be greatly and widely distributed in the Usa.



Tesla told its coming hybrid automobile prototype would use advanced lithium-ion batteries that will keep going until the car achieves a mileage of about 250 miles at 130 miles per hour.

Hybrid cars demand 'steadily growing' (The West Australian)

Sales of environmentally friendly petrol-electric hybrid vehicles are steadily increasing in Australia, new figures show. Sales data released on Tuesday by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries shows 5,042 hybrid cars were sold in 2008, up two per cent on the previous year.

While the trials and tribulations of the Big Three auto makers got most of the attention in 2008, electric cars are expected to make news in 2009.   "All of the auto makers are working on electric vehicles in some form," said Jennifer Watts, spokeswoman for the Washington, D.C.-based Electric Drive Transportation Association.
